    Mezzo soprano Eve Orenstein received her BM from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and an MM from Manhattan School of Music. Eve has appeared in Opera Company of Brooklyn productions as Gertrude in Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette, Contessa Ceprano in Rigoletto, Third Spirit in Die Zaurberflote, and has covered the role of Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro. Eve has been heard in the Dicapo Opera Theatre’s
productions of Rigoletto as Giovanna and L’Amico Fritz as Catarina, as Filipyevna in Liederkranz Opera Theatre’s production of Eugene Onegin, and as Annina in La Traviata with the Metropolitan Lyric Opera Company. Dedicated to the furtherance of contemporary music, Eve has appeared in the New York premieres of excerpts from A Death in the Family as Aunt Hannah, and as Katja in The Singing Violin. This year, Eve covered the roles of Azucena in Il Trovatore, Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica, and performed as Emilia in Otello with the One World Symphony. She will be heard as the
Badessa in the New York Metro Vocal Ensemble’s production of Suor Angelica this spring.
